“ Wonderful traditional pub. Don't normally write reviews, but were very accommodating when my group (10) booked last minute for the Sunday Carvery. We forget to inform the inn that three in the group were vegetarian and one of those is GF, but they happily provided great alternatives! ”

The food is hands down some of the best around — proper pub classics done right, always piping hot, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. “ Gorgeous pub, friendliest, nicest staff and customers. Views to die for out front, decent size parking area just opposite. Food was tasty, very fresh and decent sized portions, not over priced. Good selection of beers on tap, dog friendly. Loved this place, well worth the trip if in the area, recommend booking. ”

The food was absolutely delicious—every one of our three meals was cooked to perfection. The portions were incredibly generous, and the homemade chips were a real highlight. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor, making it excellent value for money. A lovely touch was the collection of books at the entrance, which brought a big smile to our daughter’s face and kept her busy while waiting for a meal. “ We have been here many times and have eaten both in the bar area and in the restaurant area. Food is always fantastic and staff very friendly and polite. Dogs are welcome in the bar area and special dietary requirements are catered for. Would highly recommend stopping by and eating here... but always best to book to avoid disappointment. ”

An exemplary rural pub worth a stop on a journey or a round hike with this as your lunch stop. Good coffee, friendly staff. “ My wife and I were on holiday in the area and popped in for dinner on our last evening before heading home the next day. It is a very pretty and cosy place and we were greeted with a warm welcome from both staff and locals. The service was excellent and the food was equally outstanding and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly and I would certainly like to go back the next time we are this way. I would definitely recommend the Fforest Inn ”
“ Wonderful traditional pub, visited for dinner as a group of 8 while staying just down the road. A lovely landlady greeted us upon arrival and she soon had drinks served at the bar. Traditional pub menu on offer and food order taken in good time. Food was fantastic, good sized portions and came out pretty quickly. Chef owner popped out to see people in the restaurant and we had a nice chat, thanks for the recommendations in the area. Recommend a visit if you are in the area ”
